do you always say YES?

Would you like seconds? Yes.

Do you want dessert? Yes.

Want some candy? Yes.

Want to go mcdonalds for lunch? Yes.

Want to skip the gym and relax tonight? Yes.

If you want to have any kind of success in losing weight and becoming fit you are going to have to learn to say "NO."

You are going to have to learn to say NO to dessert when you are already full. You are going to have to learn to say NO to going out when you brought your lunch to work. You are going to have to learn to say NO and head to the gym even though you may not feel like it.

Notice the word I used LEARN. This is a skill and you will need to practice it until you get good at. In the beginning it is hard to say no.

This was especially hard for me to learn because with my personality I always wanted to please everybody and not disappoint anyone. Plus if I said no, I thought they would not like me or I would not fit in.

But the Truth and Reality is if someone rejects you because you said no while suggesting something else besides going to mcdonalds to eat, they really are not your friend and you shouldn't be hanging around them anyways.

Besides, nobody is going to get upset because you said no. Plus, it is really easy to learn to do this when you start using excuses. Come up with about 5 excuses or reasons you can say when someone tempts you.

No, I would not like seconds, (dessert, candy, whatever) I am full.

No, I am really not in the mood for mcdonalds let's go here instead.

No, I really need to get in the gym and burn off some stress, plus I am really focused on losing this last 10lbs.

What are the common traps you fall into that you find yourself saying YES to even though it may be destructive to you. What excuses or reasons can you come up with to say NO so nobody gets their feelings hurt and you will reach your goals?
