'The Fighter' Smoothie

Recovering from allergies, the flu, a cold, or (in my case) a sinus infection? Yep, it's that time of year again! The kids are going back to school (germs) the farmers are plowing the fields (dust/dirt) the wind starts blowing from the north (allergens). I don't know about you but my allergies go crazy this time of year!

No to worry, I've created an awesome smoothie that will help speed up your recovery and get you back in the gym in no time!

I coined this smoothie "The Fighter" because that's EXACTLY what it's suppose to do. FIGHT the bad germs away so you can start to feel better soon.

Just throw everything in a blender, I use a Nutribullet. Add just enough water to get the blade to turn (if you like it creamy) or add a lot of water if you like it juicy and enjoy!

I will note here that I used 1 scoop of protein powder, 1 scoop of Amazing Grass, and 1/2 of a small frozen banana.

1 Handful of Spinach

0.5 Cups Frozen Strawberries

0.5 Cup Broccoli

0.5 Cup Carrots

1 Handful of Almonds

0.25 Cups of Sunflower Seeds

0.5 Small Frozen Banana (optional)

1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (optional)

1 Scoop Green Powder, Amazing Grass (optional)

Calories: 200

Fat: 4g

Carbs: 27g

Fiber: 8g

Protein: 17g
