Promise Yourself You Will Never Give Up

It is hard to believe it is 2019.

I challenge you to be different this year. Instead of setting the typical new year resolutions, I challenge you to RESOLVE to meet your goals this year. RESOLVE means, promising yourself you will never give up.

Below is a fantastic tool that Tony Robbins put together and it really helps put things in balance and perspective for me.

This is not about creating resolutions, it’s about transforming your goals and desires into reality.

It will help you gain clarity about where you’ve been, where you are now, and where you want to go so that you can create lasting change in every area of your life.

It’s about creating momentum that will help drive you to revolutionize your health, your relationships, your finances, and your career. 1. Get Clear, Get Focused, Make it a Must.

The ability to navigate from where you are to where you want to be requires a map. But you have to know where you are today or the map is worthless! Take a moment and select each area of your life and give yourself a score on a 0-10 scale; where zero means there is nothing there, and 10 means you are absolutely where you want to be. When you do this, the most important thing is to be honest with yourself, and to remember that you are rating yourself against your own potential. You never want to compare yourself to others; the power in life is setting your own standards. What are the areas that need the greatest improvement? This gives you a clear idea of where you need to start focusing.

2. Get a Proven Plan.

Being positive is not enough. It doesn't matter how positive you are, if you run East looking for a sunset, you simply will not find it! You need the right strategy.

Map out a detailed plan on how you can take each area to the next level. Break it down in to small steps. What can you do today, this week, this month to get closer to your goals.

If you can’t figure out a plan ask for help. There are people that can coach or mentor you in every area of your life, which brings us to step 3.

3. Find a good partner or coach.

Most people pick the wrong partner, and in that moment, failure is guaranteed. If you want to transform your body and be physically fit, should you partner with someone who is overweight and who is just beginning the journey at the same time you are?

Of course not!

Find someone who has already achieved the habits of discipline and the insight to succeed in the area you want to master, and spend time with them each day.

There is a saying, Success leaves clues. If you want to be successful, find someone successful and do what they do and you will have what they have. Having a coach or mentor can make a big difference on whether you succeed or not.

4. Take Action and Create Momentum.

Most people wait until the perfect time; "when the kids are older," "when I have more money," or "when I get the right equipment."

Most people fail to achieve their goals because they never take the first step.

Momentum is just getting the ball rolling. Once you get started in a particular area, as long as you keep energy going, you will begin to get results and results feed themselves. When is a good time to start?

Remember, NEVER leave the sight of setting a goal without taking some form of action towards its' attainment. Make a phone call, send an email, book an appointment, enroll in a class, do what it takes to get that ball rolling.

You can do whatever you want in life you just need to get a proven plan and take MASSIVE Action to close that gap between where you are and where you want to be!
