Today I wanted to send you a quick message and lesson on eating healthy.
I get asked this on a daily basis,
“is _____ healthy for me?”
Most people just look at the box of what they are about to eat and if it says things like “natural” or “low-fat” they think it is healthy. ‘
Others will take it a step further and look how many calories it has or saturated fat.
But there is only one way to find out if something is truely healthy or not. That is the INGREDIENT LIST. That is the only thing that tells you what you really are eating.
And a good rule of thumb is if you don’t know what the ingredients are or you can’t buy the ingredients at the grocery store to make in your own kitchen you probably should not eat it.
Because let’s face it. Even though the 100 calorie pack of cookies is only 100 calories, it is still cookies. Which are those healthy for you?
So next time your at the store and wonder if it is healthy or not, turn the box over and check out that ingredient list.
