Weekly we get asked, “I want to flatten my stomach and get rid of my gut, what ab machines will do



Hesitantly, we will walk over and show them how to properly use the ab machines but as we walk we give them the real answer.


Something you don’t want to hear. 


I know we all want a special exercise that will flatten our stomach, get rid of the bat wings on our arms, or remove the sagginess from our buttocks but the REALITY is there is no such thing when it comes to WEIGHT-LOSS.


There is no Such Thing as Spot Treating Weight-loss.  You can’t do Abs every single day and neglect what is really important and expect the fat around your mid-section to melt away.


So what will make your stomach go down and the fat melt away?  NOURISHING YOUR BODY WITH HEALTHY FOODS (aka Eating Right) AND Your OVERALL Exercise Plan.  Something we all have heard but don’t want to accept.


Unfortunately, our body is going to dictate where we lose the weight first.  We all have those “trouble spots” that the fat tends to cling to first and get rid of last. 


When losing weight, you may start to lose it first in your hips, then your legs, and then finally start to see your stomach go down.  Or it may be just a little bit everywhere you start noticing a difference. 


That is why it is VERY important to pay attention to how your clothes are fitting, how you feel, your energy level, and not just the scale.


You want to have a workout routine that encompasses your entire body and not just your abs or arms.  It should consist of Cardio AND Strength Training


That way you can turn your Entire Body into a Lean Mean Fat Burning Machine!


Remember, Becoming Fit and Healthy is not something that you do for 90 days so you flatten your stomach and look good for summer, It is a lifestyle and something that you are continuously improving and getting better at. 


I hope this helps shed some light on the truth.  I know it is not flashy or glamorous but I am sure you want to know the truth versus beating your head against the wall when something doesn’t work.
